The Memorial Garden concept began with several Celebration residents looking for a way to honor and remember the lives of other residents who have passed away. They developed the philosophy of the Memorial Garden, including its Vision and Mission Statement. This Statement says, in part, that the mission “is to connect its visitors to the beauty of nature and the ties we share with loved ones departed.”

The Vision of the Memorial Garden is to enable reflection on Celebration’s concern for family, creative beauty, harmony and reverence for life. This has been carried out by the use of beautiful landscaping, walking paths and private rest areas inviting reflection. Even the circular design evokes thoughts of the circle of life. The Memorial Garden’s focal point is the area where 12 pillars have been erected. Each pillar will display plaques engraved with the names of former Celebration residents and family members who are no longer with us.

    Residents can honor loved ones.
  • How big is a tile and what information is included on it?
    Each tile is approximately 6×9” and includes the person’s name, date of birth and date of death.
  • How do I order a tile in memory of a loved one?
    Simply stop in the Foundation office at 610 Sycamore Street, Suite 110, to pick up an application and see a sample tile.
  • How much does a tile cost?
    $275 covers all costs of material and labor as well as perpetual maintenance of the pillars and tiles in the Memorial Garden.
  • What is the turnaround time from when an order is placed?
    Tiles are installed on a quarterly basis.
