FAQ's

During the first eight years, the Foundation focused on the creation and nurturing of organizations and programs that supported our community building mission with-in Celebration and the greater Central Florida community. As the town of Celebration continues to evolve from developer managed to self-directed, the Foundation also is evolving to support our mission of community-building. Today our strategy is being implemented through three primary directives. They are:

  1. Financial investment in other organizations’ community building efforts through grant giving.
  2. Provide a 501 (c) 3 home for appropriate groups to incubate and grow their community purpose and contribution.
  3. Remain flexible to change as community needs change.

What does the Celebration Foundation do?
The Foundation helps stimulate the development of local programs and services that address a variety of community needs.  We invest grant money in other not-for-profit groups whose purpose helps strengthen community. We are all about empowerment and supporting those who have purpose and passion, and want to contribute to the building of “better community”.

What are the Foundation’s goals?

  • To establish the Celebration Foundation as an important, effective, valued and essential organization.
  • To be a catalyst and investor of citizen involvement and community development.
  • To maintain an effective governing body that will ensure that the Celebration Foundation carries out its mission now and in the future.
To manage financial resources that will allow the Celebration Foundation to effectively serve the community in perpetuity.
